I was doing my 100 hour service and went to start the tractor and it would not start....the dash showed "Open" (I think). Anyway after messing around I happened to jiggle the PTO lever which was already in the Off position and the word on the dash went away and I could start the tractor...if I jiggled the lever it would cause tractor to die as if the PTO was engaged. Jiggle quick enough and it would start running again (similar to getting up while tractor is moving or PTO is actually engaged and then sitting again).
Problem is how do I adjust this? Is it by adjusting the lever to make it sit tight against the metal stop and safety switch or something else? If it is adjusting the lever...it appears that I would need to remove the seat belt....and it is really torqued on there...tried to get it off and the metal bar it is mounted on moves with the torque so you can not get it to loosen. Ideas?
