Tried with a yard rake. My out of shape old ass gave up.Would a rake not do the job? It's only the bigger stones you have to catch.
Sorry to hear that.Tried with a yard rake. My out of shape old ass gave up.
18" around my house, I have gravel beds. After 20 years, it got sort of full of dirt and weeds grew... so I shoveled most out and then used the shop vac to get the rest off of the landscape fabric. Did a great job.Years ago a guy near me was out with a Shop Vac doing a swath of his yard along the road. I just HAD to stop and ask what he was up to. He told me he was picking up the little stones from the "traction material" the state applied in Winter.
Am hoping this handheld power broom I ordered does the trick. When the gravels not froze into the base, blowers, well, blow snow and stuff, here ,there every where.
A power broom works 'magically' in minutes to return green into green, gray into gray.
I have the side rails at max height.Sorry to hear that.
But isn't the root cause of the problem the snowblower? I do not have a clue about those things but what I remember reading here is that you can get some guide rails at the sides to keep it a bit higher and not to ingest any stones. Would be better for the blower too I believe.
Been thinking about this myself. Possible in some areas but not in others. Need to make a curved shoot to shoot the snow toward the ground in front of me as I go down the driveway.I had a "spot" I dumped my snow the first year ...

Yeah, it's a LOT of work! That's about 1/3 left to do . . .

This year I stacked it up on the driveway near the tree, and just used the other side of the driveway, once it melted down a bit, I dug into it and spread it out!

Way too many rocks. My blade would get destroyed going over them.Hell run over then a few times with a roller when its wet, they go into the dirt and you dont have to worry , or just mow over them if they get picked up the blades just turn them to sand
