I'm curious...
For those who have had both traditional "back up" and "pull - inverted" blowers, how would you compare their horsepower requirements?

I've heard that inverted/pull blowers require more HP per inch of cut than a traditional "push" blower. Is there any truth to this?

I'm a dyed-in-the-wool front blower fan. I don't really want to afford the much larger (taller) tractor that would make an inverted/pull blower practical, so for my little B-series tractors the front-mount seems optimal. Still, if the right tractor comes along...

I had a 60" Meteor Push type, and a 68" Meteor Pull type. I didn't notice any difference in h draw with my 40 hp New Holland. The 60" had a 4 blade fan, and the 68" had a 5 blade fan however.

Well, I purchased a second tractor to use at my new place up north. It's orange but not a Kubota, sorry. It came with a 72" Pronovost Puma Inverted snowblower, and after using it several times lately with all the weekly storms we've been having lately (8-12") this thing has worked great!
The seller has a probably 1/2-mile driveway; up and down hills, and lots of curves. I paid attention to how well his driveway was cleared when I went to check out this tractor and it did a great job on his driveway. He also has had several big snowstorms this winter.
I was concerned about pulling through deep snow, so I drove it thru about 1 1/2' of snow while running the snowblower with no problem. Tractor did come with tire chains so I'm sure this helps.
Having the FEL will be also useful to moving snowbanks from plowing snow. Before this tractor I was plowing snow and the driveway was getting narrow!
I have a front mounted snowblower on my Kubota which I use at my primary home. Comparing the two I would say the front mounted blower has the advantage of seeing what's going on ahead of you while snow blowing and digging into snowbanks if needed is possible.
However, I now prefer the pull snow blower.
I can back up to my garage and other places and blow the snow away without leaving a pile of snow that the front mount would.
I do not have to look backwards as with a push rear mounted blower.
I also still have the FEL on the tractor which I sure could use on the Kubota during the winter.
With the pull snow blower there is some turning my poor body around to set things up as needed, but it ain't a lot of time. Tractor also has a rear view and side view mirrors which keeps me from looking back much.
I also prefer the way the pull snow blower works when turning. With the front mount blower, I have to lift it to make some turns to prevent the front wheels from just plowing forward. Not an issue with the pull blower.
As many have mentioned every type has its advantages and disadvantages, no type is the perfect solution. I'm just giving my inputs after using both, your results may vary.

Which make and model tractor did you get?
Pics?
Congratulations!

Thank you! I will try to figure out how to post some pictures.
Tractor is a 2024 Kioti CK3520SE Cab.
I've been looking for something used for a several months, hoping for a Kubota, but nothing showed up for what I was looking for at my price range. This Kioti was available with a price l was limited to with everything I was looking for, snow blower, brush hog, scraper blade and also included a bunch of other stuff.
Seller was moving and anxious for a quick sell, so his negotiated sell price made it well worth it.
After using it, it's does not have the fit and finish of a Kubota, but I am pleased with it, and it will work just fine for my needs. Kind of like a Kia compared to a Honda or Toyota. They both will get you there.
