As many of you know, I have embarked on a project to install rear remotes on my B2401 tractor. I have had the pleasure of having several members here to provide lots of experience and knowledge about how to make this project work and work better than had they not provided this wealth of knowledge and experience, which honestly has made this journey so far very interesting and enjoyable. What I hope to do with this information is provide a very detailed explanation of the various parts used, the source of the parts, cost of the parts and as much as possible, I will post pictures as I do and/or complete a portion of the project. Now that I have finally ordered all the parts for the project. I will list them, the source, and price. Now I will tell you this, the price of somethings, I have seen increase just the next day after I looked at it. I have tried to compare prices between, AMAZON, Walmart, EBay and or just Google something and find a supplier. I have NO affiliation with any of these companies. So let’s get too it.
- Hydraulic Control Valve -Walmart - All-Carb 2 spools, 21gpm SAE Ports, 3625 PSI $92.37
- Fittings - Discounthydraulichose.com, ForceAmericaInc.com, Amazon, 12 fittings, $147.16 incl tax and ship
- Hydraulic Hoses - Amazon, 6 hoses, $156.50
- Quick Connect with 4 couplers and breakaway bracket, EBay, $140.16
- Top Link - Amazon, link comes with 31.5 inch hoses with male AG ball connectors, $112.18
- RH Side lift rod link, SparePartsHolland, link cones with 33.5 inch hoses with male AG ball connectors $291.00
Now I have looked at a lot of options for the Side Link and I believe that this will work the best for my need,
that being said I will have to do a modification to the link when I receive it, if interested let me know and I
will provide you with detailed information about what I did to make it work for my tractor.
As I stated earlier, I will be posting pictures and information about the entire process. I will also provide any additional information to anyone interested, just message me or ask for the group in the comments. Loo forward to getting this done and being able to get more work out of my tractor. Posting soon!

Well, got started on some of the fabrications I have to do before I can install all the new parts on my tractor. I believe I showed the picture of the hydraulic control valve bracket that I have made to attach the valve to the tractor. I installed it yesterday and I will post pictures of it installed. Today I fabricated a bracket to have a solid place for the 4 AG couplers and the breakaway bracket. I will post pictures of it also. Both were really easy to make and install. The materials were stuff that I had in my shop, stuff that I have been saving for years just to have if I needed it. I am sure there are some of you guys that know what I am talking about. People ask why are you saving this stuff for? My answer is because I will need it someday! I had to do a slight modification to the Top Link, the upper ball joint, the sleeve that the pin goes through was 1-3/4” wide and the upper part of the 3 point bracket that it has to go into has an internal width of 1-1/2” , so I put it in my vise and used my 4” angle grinder with a grinding disc to shave it down a little bit on each side, to just under 1-1/2” , 1.45” measured with my micrometer, I will post a picture. Looking forward to getting the parts in this week and having the system installed and working by next weekend. The only item that I have left to order is the RH lift rod side link and I will order it on the 18th but I should have it by the 21st. After I have everything done I will try to do a quick demo of it all in action and post. Never done a video for posting before so anyone know any tips please let me know! Oh, one thing I have tried to do so far is NOT drill any holes. I have been able to use existing holes so far with all my added additions to my tractor! The post of the Top Link mod was taken before I finished the mod, after I finished the grinding I took a file and removed any burrs and rounded the edges of bit and made sure the pin would not be obstructed by any internal burrs then I repainted the areas that I had left bare. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to let me know. I am doing this project with my knowledge and experience in life. I am always eager and willing to learn from others when they provide me with the knowledge they have learned from their experiences. As I have said before the reason for me being on this site is because I don’t know how to do everything and many of you have already done it and can provide great advice and information. I hope that my providing this information will help others who may want to do it also. Thank you for your help!
