Install 3rd Function Valve Kit MX5400

I am new to this Forum. We are currently purchasing a MX5400, LA1065, BH92 with Hydraulic Thumb. There is a hold up on getting the Tractor because there is a shortage of BH92 backhoes from Kubota. We purchased the 3rd Function Valve kit and installing ourselves to save $600+. Anyone have advice on the installation? We are also going to do a DYI on the Bucket Level and the Bush Guard. We have Mig, Tig, Stick, Oxy acet for welding and a machine shop with a Lathe, Mill, Drill Presses, Band Saws and a large inventory of tools. Figured that I would build a lot of attachments.

There are a lot of talented/knowledgeable people on this board, so it sounds like you will fit right in.

Sounds like a great machine.

I got my machine "mid covid" and there were parts shortages like crazy, so my BH took a year to get. I hope it's not that bad for you.

Looking forward to your input, but I can't give any reliable advice on 'hydraulics' stuff besides,
'Get the JD fluid dye" for your system. It sure makes checking the fluid easier.

I have worked with and operated heavy equipment for 55 years. We currently have a Jinma Smart Trac 354 with a FEL and BH, 4 cylinder 35hp. I redid the hydraulics on the BH with a "Prince Pump" . Only has 284 hours but a big oil leak from a $4 gasket on the back of the engine access port to the crank shaft 4" cover. To replace it the tractor need to be Split in Half to replace the $4 gasket. Will fix it and sell. Want to get a bigger Kubota. Now will put some DYI attachments on the new MX5400.

If no cab the third finction should be straightforward and no need for welding or machine work

Still waiting on the Backhoe to be put on the Tractor before the Dealer brings to our home. Will get the Kit when we get the Tractor. Its ROPS and I saw some videos on installation.
