Incorrect temp guage?

This is the hottest mine ever shows. I changed the thermostat which made no difference. Feeling the top hose its hot. Should the guage be showing higher?

My B7500 is similar. Always check with an actual temperature gun if you’re concerned.

Do this a few times to establish what temperatures correlate with different positions on the gauge.

My advice is relax and quit worriing about phantom boogy men.

But if you feel you must monitor actual coolant temperature in real time install a quality automotive temperature gauge with degree markings and believe it.
