I have a v1702 indirect injection..

I notice my third injector is a little leaky.

I have read a lot about it and watched many videos.

Has anyone ever done injectors on the 1702?

Any words of wisdom before i get started.

Thanks.

There really is not self serviceable components in the injectors, there is not even any real seals inside.

My suggestion if it's got injector issues, it would be in your benifit to just replace or send them to be rebuilt.

If the leak is on the very top then it's a pressure line issue, take the lines off clean / polish the ends then re-assemble.

If it's leaking a little ways down might need the nut holding the return fitting tightened.

If you pull the injectors out get new copper washers before you reinstall.

Please tell me more about these copper washers. I bought a new injector from Kumarbros. Haven't looked at it close enough to even see if there are any washers with it.

Thanks for the response

You bought new fuel injector from Kumarbros???
I was not aware they had them.
What was the price and part#?

The copper gasket you need is a chamber gasket fits on the base of the injector to seal it to the head.

I just doubled checked the package and I recant my statement.

I purchased glowplugs @ Kumarbros. Good deal. Bobcat wanted 18 and change plus tax.

I purchased my injector from The Engine re-builders in Oakes, ND. Nice people . I think I paid around $129.00 and a core charge. I also purchased the speed throttle control plate. I'm very nervous about attempting that one. I still think I have some reading to do and questions to ask.

Thanks for the info about the copper washers. I've watched some very helpful videos from orangetractortalks on youtube.
