I just bought a used M4700. I'd like to change the hydraulic oil....no telling how old it is and I think it got a little water in it. I found an operator's manual for this thing, and it talks about changing the two filters......but does this tractor have a transmission screen? I've seen many tractors have a cylindrical screen that would need to be removed and cleaned.

Also, the manual says there is a single drain plug. True?

Thanks

Far as I know, no screen like the smaller tractors have, just 2 filters and one will have a magnet attached to the post. Clean it and at least on my M's, one drain plug towards the backside of the case. be ready for a lot of fluid. Big drain pan. I use a big truck aluminum fuel tank bell end, plasma cut about 20 inches high.

Nope no screen on that model.

I count several plugs, but if they say only to drain from 2 then that sounds right, clutch housing and transmission housing.
