Hydraulic leak..

Hello tractor owners,

I need some help.. I have a Kubota bx1860 and I was plowing snow 2 weeks ago and smelled hydraulic fluid. I found that I was leaking fluid out of the top fitting on stop through the rear of the compression collar that transfers the fluid to the loader. (Only leaked. Using the loader)
After some research I read these valves are know to go bad without warning. and they're not serviceable. (Except the the o-rings)

is there a part number or am I replacing the pump...

I pressure tested the pipe and all is well.

i'm stumped. please share your thoughts.

Thats the flow divider. Why did you remove the spool if the loader pipe is leaking?

Why does it look like that that part has been thrown out into the street and run over by a few semis?

Someone's done a great job and cross threading it a killing the threads, I bet the pump body is just as bad.
No wonder it leaks!

Also why do you say it's not rebuildable, you can buy all the parts for it.

I read it on another forum that they list parts but not serviceable.. though I Did think it was silly to show parts but not able to replace them. However, staring at the damn thing looking for how it would come apart. In the end, I found the retaining ring Corroded in the groove I tried all the tricks to loosen it up, and after I broke 3 picks and a couple custom picks I also dropped it a few times either by accident or out of spite. I could not for the life get that to the clip. Figuring I was beyond salvaging the part. In the end, I did some exploratory surgery and found that it does separate. I could of worked on this till christmas and I would never get that cap off. and that's why it looks like it was used as a hitch pin.. lol

Again, why take it apart?

Your first post says the "compression fitting" on the pipe is the source of your leak. You dont seem to understand what you are working on and are doing more damage than good.

I have a good understanding of what I'm doing and I'm familiar with how compression fittings work and how to tell if the fitting is bad based on how it's leaking. However, the way it was leaking, (maybe a better term is weeping) when using the loader controls. I thought it was possibly a flow/pressure issue. I had no issues when using the steering or the 3pt lift.

I've probably used the incorrect terminology to explain the issue. It's easier to show than explain. Regardless of what's causing my initial issue, I need to replace that part now.

If you understood the flow divider and loader circuit you would know there is no significant pressure at that fitting until you use the loader. Thats 100% normal.

And yes, you now have new and probably expensive problems.
