Recently bought a l5240 with a bh 95 hoe. The loader will not lift a full bucket without backing out of pile. It also creeps down when full including tilt. Backhoe attachment seems under powered also. Previous owner seemed up on maintenance. Machine has 1200 hrs. Appreciate any help! Not sure where to start. Thanks

I'd start with a pressure test. Connect a gauge to one of the loader hoses. When you activate that circuit, you should see 2,630 to 2,770 psi.

Creep is inherent to the system. My backhoe creeps more noticeably, but if I'm carrying a load on the front with the grapple, I have to hit the 3rd function lever periodically to keep from loosing the grip.

I know it is a a different class of machine but my L2501 has always been that way, it won't lift a full bucket up thru a pile. It seems to have adequate curl but lacks lift.
I figured it was 1, a safety factor of the loader design to keep from breaking it and 2, to keep the homeowner type from doing something to tip it over and bring on the law suit.
I checked my pressure back a few years ago and it was close to spec. The only solution I could see was maybe a little larger diameter cylinders but then you could be stressing the design some.

How quickly does it creep down? That makes me suspect leaking loader cylinders but that would only affect the loader.
