Hello, it has been a while. I wanted to ask about my hydraulic puking fluid. Went up to the property this morning to check on things. Tractor started which I was surprised. I drove it around a bit to charge battery and give it some use. I backed it up to the bush hog and when I stopped (tractor running) hydraulic fluid was pouring out of one of the holes on RT side of tractor with a plug laying in the dirt. The plug just fell apart in my hand when I picked it up. I am assuming this is where the FEL would hook up. Is it only those plugs that are rubber or whatever or is there some other plug that actually screws into hole that maybe corroded a hole through? Thanks in advance.

Your asking us to do a whole lot of guessing as to where you're losing fluid!

A picture or pointing to a diagram would really help.

And it wouldn't be a rubber plug that would hold in hydraulic fluid.

I would ASSUME that the vent has been plugged up by an insect nest. It is under the seat on left side and looks like a question mark but laying down on its side.

That will build up some pressure and could force fluid out of a hole. But like North Idaho Wolfman says, I don’t know if anything is sealed with a rubber plug but it c be possible if above the normal fluid level of the transmission case.

well thanks for the replies. I should have taken a picture but didnt. Its a little drive to get up there. The vent idea makes alot of sense. I am most certain it is where the FEL would hook up. there are 2 vertical holes about 3 inches apart give or take. there is a swivel plate right between them. the plate is held on by one nut. hope this helps. leaking from the lower hole.

Well here is an update. I finally got over to the Kubota place to ask about my leak. Long story short, there is not supposed to be any fluid coming out of those holes. The holes are for the FEL to mount and its supposed to be dry in there. That means I had a seal blow on the transmission side and tractor has to be split. This is definately not something I wanted to deal with. How difficult of a job is it? I am mechanically inclined.
