I just bought an M4700, my first Kubota. It runs well, but my question is about the hydraulic / transmission fluid. It’s a brownish color....sort of milky. When I bought it, two of the hydraulic cylinders were leaking, so the dealer sent them out for repair as part of the sales price. Before they did this, I don’t remember the hydraulic fluid being this color.

Is this normal for Kubotas or is there water in my fluid? Or something else?

It could be water contaminated, old / dirty, or just cheap fluid.

I would drain it flush it with some cheap clean fluid, then add new filters and new fluid so you have a good base line.

Do the motor and front axle while your at it! ;)

Sounds like it has Hy-Trans in it. JD Hy-Trans is brownish colored and not the right stuff.
