ZD 331 just hit 400 hours. Going to change the HST and hydraulic oil filters. Do I need to change the fluid too? Watched some youtube videos and all they did was change the filters and added fluid they lost when doing the change.

I think the 400 hour service interval is a major one I'd change all the fluids. These machines run hot. I notice that mine runs better/smoother/quieter after all the fluids are changed.

Before you think about cheaping out, I noticed at the dealership recently they had my 2010 ZD326 on sale used for the same price I paid for mine in 2010. Mine looks in better shape too.

New machines are stupidly priced IMHO.

Thanks.
I bought the full maintenance kit. Will change all the fluids.

Bought this machine used when we bought the house. I have put about 100 hours on it. Just noticed the mower gear box interval is 50 hours. What type of fluid goes in there. Could not tell from the user manual. Hoping to do all the fluid changes before the next mow.

Mower gear case
0.4 L / 0.4 U.S.qts / 0.4 Imp.qts
SAE 90 gear oil (API service classification: more than GL-3)

80W90 gear oil in mine. I think the service interval is 150hrs between oil changes, inspect every 50.

Follow the recommended service intervals in the owners manual and your machine will last longer and perform well

Good. I already have Mobil 1 Synthetic 80W90 gear oil for the cars.
