How to add a toggle switch

Could someone tell me How to add a toggle switch to my two work lights wiring harness. The harness that came with the kubota work lights does not have a toggle switch. I bought a good one for it but i dont want to screw anything up. The switch now is on Each light. I thought I would leave them on and add a toggle switch so I dont have stop and get out to turn them on.

Black and red coming from fuse box to the light. I thought black was neg. And red pos. But black has power to it also.

Are the lights on when there is power to the black wire?
You can have power on an open circuit if it is disconnected to ground.

When you dissconnect the red wire do noth lights go off?
If so then there is where you want the switch.

Or maybe red to one and black to other?
Shoild not be, but who knows what an engineer was thonking.
