just wondering as i see that 2014 3901 over in the banner ad for a really cheap price..

has a spun bearing... but if the motor isnt ridiculous? might be a good grab for someone.

For those of us that don't see the Banner Ad, would you give more details?
Like where is it and with who?

It's an E-Bay add.

It doesn't look like a very good deal to me at all.At 2720 hours it looks pretty beat and uncared for.I think a complete motor can be had for 6-7000 dollars for a new one.Bear in mind that the $3,000.00 DPF has an optimistic 3000 hour projected lifespan and it does have an electronic governor and an ECM.Maybe you can shoehorn an older engine in there and bypass the computer and emission controls.
GL on your decision.

Yea that's a risky deal as they are not easy to get and being that it's a common rail with ECM and DPF, there are a lot of what if's.
There is a reason the dealer is just off loading it and not fixing it.

EPA issues, most dealers of all colors have to submit; model, serial and reason for replacement request! IIRC Kubota requires drilling holes in the block and taking pictures of said engine, before Kubota puts it on truck.

Plus I am sure that you would have to have a digi-master computer. To do programming new engine to talk to the old computer.

sounds like its only newer in date of manufacture.

Ive watched Kurtz for a while as theyre maybe a 3-4hr drive. They have a lot of nice stuff, and hammered feces as well. This is hammered feces. I might pay 3500 for that and drop 7-10,000 and have a nice machine again, or just spend 15-20 on a used L3901 with a loader.
