Looking to get the "right" hopper/spreader for MX5800. Would use for fertilizer, lime, seed - Corn & soy beans. Would also like to be able to spread AG lime but doubt any will work for that. I want a Large one (mostly for fert/lime) but don't think it needs to be over 1000lbs.(my largest field is only 4 acres). BUT - and it's my main question - it MUST have the adjustments needed to "accurately" spread Corn. Corn would only be in a 2-3 acre field so no more than 100 lbs of seed would ever be in the hopper. Q: Do smaller hoppers (under 500lbs.) have finer adjustments than the larger ones? Are smaller hoppers more accurate spreading seed? How's the Quality of the Kubota spreaders vs. one from Tractor Supply?
