Hi, my L4310 Kubota tractor air filter light is on and oily substance in the filter.

Hi, my L4310 Kubota tractor air filter light light is on. I checked and there is a black oilly substance inside the air filter and the air intake pipe. I change the air filter the light cause out until it happen again. How can I fix this? I spoked to my local Kubota thec. And he had no idea. If you can help it would be greatly appreciate. This is my post.

First, make sure the vent line coming out of the valve cover is not clogged. Pressure has to go somewhere and if that’s clogged or restricted, it will cause blow by.

Also, if the internal oil ports are clogged, it will cause blow by. That can sometimes be corrected with two oil changes over a short time period. Like 10 or so hours.

Worst case is a cracked piston ring.

‘You don’t say how many hours are on the engine or what year it is.

The dealer mechanics should have an idea of what’s going on. Shame on them.
