Greetings,

I have a 2012 Toro MP5800D sprayer with a Kubota V1505 engine that I would like to install a temperature gauge on the dashboard. A little history with these units is its very difficult to clean the radiator. (poor design IMO). There is a dummy light and a high temp shutdown built into the unit.

I read on another forum that someone supposedly tapped into the thermostat housing and added a temp gauge. They said the threads were 12mm x 1.5. Can anyone confirm this? The original posters on that forum are long gone. I would need a pretty long wire or sensor as it has to route quite a way to the dash. The gauge also has to be somewhat waterproof.

I was thinking about something similar to this but dont really need the temp to go up that high.

Any help would be appreciated.

What are you trying to monitor the engine or the radiator? In your picture the bolt inline with the coolant hose I am thinking it is above the thermostat. Might trying searching for a temp gauge for just a kubota v1505 and find out what models have that engine. Pictures of the unit would help, maybe made an intercooler that goes in the spray tank to help dissipate the heat.

one possible option.

You just cut a section of the upper rad hose out, install this 'adapter', then install your temperature sensor...wire it up...to the guage.

You could just take out the plug below the thermostat and add your temperature sender there like the Kubota units have it. The plug is in your picture, just to the right-hand side.

Thanks for the replies. I would like to take the plug out below the thermostat housing as mentioned above. I would need the sender and gauge to match up.

So far, I have found the v1505 in a B3030 Kubota tractor but the parts diagram for that model does not show a gauge or sending unit. If anyone has other models that it may be in that could be helpful.

Thanks
Sean
