Update - M6040 Temp Guage Not Working - Fixed

Hey all,

The temperature gauge on my M6040 HDC-1 is not working. Never moves off of cold. I also notice the glow plug light comes on before I start it, which usually only happens when its very cold. It's definitely not cold here in Louisiana!

I am thinking it must be the sending unit. Any idea where the sending unit is on the engine? Are there any fuses or anything that would cause this to happen?

Update - M6040 Temp Guage Not Working

Just in case anyone comes across this thread, the reason my Temp guage was not working turned out to be rats. They had a field day with the wiring harness on my engine. Dealer fixed it up last fall, but I decided to update this thread just in case anyone has a similar issue.
