Picked up a 30' New Holland hay lift today... kinda more than I was looking for but it'll work
maybe I'll remove a couple sections to shorten it up.

got a long way to go, add some wheels and make some kind of side boards... and maybe weld on some small paddles

Anyone else use one for firewood?
be interested in some ideas.

Ill give you 10k for it right now, when/where do you want to meet?
When I bought it in 95
it was 30k out the door.

I can't believe the current price of trucks.... Just crazy... $80k or more for a truck with 4 doors ... full of microchips and gadgets to break down.

Last year I pulled the engine on this truck, replaced oil pan/exhaust manifolds/turbo/up pipes and lots of stuff I forgot.

I figured it was a good investment.

A truly magnificent creature!
And....I'll bet just as sweet as pie!
Yes, he is a very good dog around people and other dogs.

Unless of course, you try to come through the gate.

Thats when the light switch goes off..... complete nutcase.
(but thats his job)

The entire property is fenced along with a driveway gate.

(picture is IVY/MITCH at the gate.)
RIP Mitch.

Just realized I never updated the thread...

only used 2 sections... for a total of 16' sacrificed one section to fab up the legs and other stuff.... still have one more 8' section and plenty of chain if I ever want to go longer.... but this seems to work pretty darn good.

I was gonna put a hitch on it to tow it.... but you can push it around by hand easy.

Sorry, I'm only interested in the dog, the truck and the dog. Got nothing else. :(

Do you have to worry about orientation of the firewood pieces when you put them on the conveyor?

In other words, can you just throw a piece on without thinking about it, and does it get carried up without issues?
