The road I'm grading has a lot of pea gravel and lowering it until the skid shoes contact the road really fills the box area fast, sometimes to the point of bogging down the tractor.
The Blades on my Scraper hang down approximately an 1" below the Skid Shoes, is this the norm? Too bad these blades aren't adjustable. I'm thinking I needed a Landscape Rake, not a scraper.

Nope - you have the right tool, just need to learn to use it. We've all been there.

Lot of guys here think a grading scraper is the Bee's Knees! I swear by my box blade, which is similar.

Hoping I can help, but I haven't used a grading scraper before....

The "trick" is the length of your top link for your 3 point hitch. A shorter top link makes the forward blade more aggressive/more apt to dig... long top link will cause the front to be more smoothing.

First thing I would do is run your top link out to it's longest length. Will give you an idea how it can change the aspect of the grading scraper.

You should have an easily adjustable top link, that is the proper length for your setup.

I threw my Kubota stock one away, and bought one for $25 at a tractor dealership. Like it much better, as OEM didn't have the adjustment I wanted. I think mine has a 12" barrel.

Also, you have a BX. it doesn't have position control, but what they call a quarter inching valve. You need to pay particular attention to the aspect of the tractor, scraper, etc. and continually move the 3PH lever to accommodate. A little slap of that lever is supposed to move the 3PH a 1/4'", which is close.

It sounds complicated, but after 10 passes, you'll figure it out.

It's not my favorite, but not that bad either...I got a 30x10 foot patio within 0.25" last summer with 4 yards of material..

PS- added a couple photos of top link. I have a Quick Hitch on... you can see how it “tips” it. I’m pretty sure you want a longer top link to start, and more attention to your 3PH lever...

Hope it’s helpful...

Ive been thinking about buying one of these to maintain my driveway for the sole reason that supposedly you just have to set it level and not have to constantly adjust the 3 pt, basically they are not supposed to take the skill required that a box blade does.

I found this from Land Pride description:

"The GS05 Series Grading Scraper simply and quickly moves dirt or aggregate from high spots to low spots. Should a large accumulation of unwanted buildup of soil or aggregate occur between the blades, initiating a slight raise on the tractors lift controls will allow excess material to flow out uniformly and evenly under the leveling scraper blades."

I believe the GS15 series does have adjustable blades but have also seen a video from Everything Attachments that says they don't see a reason for them except to extend the life of the blade.

Very interested to see how you make out with this.

I can have the same problem with my GS1560; it’s all about the top link and 3PH adjustments.
