Grapple Hose Length Question

My 4701 has a Tera Force 8ft grapple installed by the dealer. I have had it for a little over a year but question the hose length that results in a droop. Concerned it will get snagged on a limb or stump. Any one else have one that doesn’t have this droop or confirm this length is needed?

I think I answered one question. Looked through some pictures when it was newer and noticed a wire tie that is missing now.

I think a more permanent solution is two 90⁰ fittings on the grapple tees to shoot the hoses to the left and then make a u-turn back to the couplers. Use an EPDM tarp strap to support the bend and allow flex for curl and dump positions.

If it was mind this is what I would do. I run two trap straps on my grapple that I run on my skid loader to keep the hoses from been torn off. Brush and tree limbs like to tear hyd hoses off.

Bungee cord it, It has to be able to streach out when you roll it forward.

Wolf man is correct, Hold mine up with a heavy bungee cord 1/2" & will strech the cord about 8" to 10" when curled all the way down. Have made a plastic block to clamp around hoses to attach bungee & large hose clamp & 1 chain link on loader frame. Also crimped the wire hooks closed (On the second cord) Will get some pictures and post.

I used Velcro cinch straps on mine, at first it was a bungee cord but my nephew lost it some where.
