I have a 2000 L3010. Glow plugs don't seem to stay on as long as usual, and the tractor seems to take longer to start. Maine weather is just going to get colder. Do you think the glow plugs are going, and if so, is it a big job to change them? Thank You, George

I was having the same issue with my L235. Got new plugs (cheaper directly from Kubota compared to EBay by the way). The intake manifold is very cozy to the glow plugs so I had to remove that. If I did not have to make a new intake gasket that I tore taking it off, I would have finished the process in under 30 minutes. Starts like a champ now.

I hate it when I sound dumb, but I thought the glow plugs stayed on as long as you had the switch turned that way. I did not think they came on at all if you went straight to START, aside from a little spot just before the engine cranked. Now I'm going to have to read my book when I get home (January). If it is cold, I turn the switch to the left for 15-20 seconds, then wing it over to start, and varrooom!

You're not dumb, you're correct.
