i believe ours is a g4000 kubota tiller and trying to till on low and high pto speeds and spins fine when raised but when lowered it looks like there is some slipping somewhere. The pto shafts doesnt seem to be affected so i figured its something on the tiller. Is there a clutch pack or adjustment to be made? any help is appriciated.

I think your tiller is the same as one I have. Mine is a B-36 but I am pretty sure I have read that they are the same. If I am correct you have a built in slip clutch under the chain guard for the external drive chain. Can you get a picture of your tiller? I have the original manual with the instructions for adjusting the slip clutch.

If that is your tiller then, yes you have a built in slip clutch under the chain cover.

Here is the page with the slip clutch adjustment. I hope you can read it. PM me with your email address and I will send you a PDF copy of the complete book.
