Hi All,

I have a G2000 that has some oil dripping on manifold, I pulled the valve cover (see pics), and wanted to check the gasket, found a couple breaks in a soft gasket except for about 3" or 4" that was stuck in place and hard. It was located where the red arrows are pointed on the A side. question, does anyone know if the burned area due to the gasket leaking or valve(s)?

Note: below the burned area, is the exhaust manifold.

Thanks in advance.

Kendall

Kind of hard to tell just by that.
Look at the valve seals in the head.
Fire it up with the valve cover off and check for an exhaust valve guide leak, take it outside it might leak a little oil onto the ground.

Thanks Wolfman, I was thinking that too. or maybe extreme heat off the manifolds over time.
