On my L2000DT dash, there is a removable cover with some old style fuses. The left fuse must have blown and there is a jumper wire in this place.

What amperage fuse is intended for each location?
Where can I buy a new fuse?
Has anyone modernized the fuses to accept new style automotive type?

Thanks!

If the old style fuse you are talking about is a round glass cylinder with metal ends you can get them at most any automotive or hardware store. I can't help with what amperage is required. If no one else helps with info I would try a 10 amp and see what happens. If it blows try a 15 amp but don't go any bigger than that without checking what size wire it feeds.

The fuse installed are not the glass type that I've seen in the past. They are a small strip of hour glass shaped metal held in place with two screws. The only similar thing I've seen we're the fuses on an old vw bug; but they were not fastened with screws..
