Signed the papers today, it gets delivered tomorrow and received some more clarification on the diesel thing from the dealer, I'm all set. Also have a can of Stanadyne to give a try.
For what it is worth, Don't excessively baby it on the break in. Diesels need moderate hard work to get a good seal and run in on the bearings.
Don't let it sit and idle for prolonged time.

Motorhead is 100% right - diesels like to be worked hard especially during break in. It seats the rings better.

Not the best option out there for lubricity. I'm sure you read the study results in post # 7 to make an informed decision.

I've never run any additive in any of the 4 diesel tractors I've owned since 1984. Never had any fuel related problems.
