Is the L175 supposed to have a rubber gasket under the fuel filler cap? Mine doesn't, and I cant find one in my IPB either, it does have what looks to me like a metal gasket with a small vent hole.

It leaks, splashes out really, if I completely fill the tank, so I have just been filling it to about three inches from the top; but this doesn't seem right.

I have been thinking  about cutting a gasket from an old inner tube, with a small hole for the vent, and gluing it to the metal gasket with silicone.

What do you guys say?

There should be a strainer that sits down in the opening with a rubber ring around it that acts as the gasket. Vic can get you one I bet if you don't have a Kubota dealer near you.

Geez,

I don't know how I missed that in the parts book, thanks.

I bet the previous owner took them out to use a stick for a fuel guage and never put them back in.
