I'm planning on buying a W.R. Long front snow blade but not sure what length to get. Is it best to get a blade that is a bit wider than the width of the rear tires? That measurement is 60" on my tractor. They have a 60" blade that is 55" at a 30 degree angle and a 72" blade that is 62" at 30 degrees. Would the L3901 with a BH77 handle a 72" blade with chains on all four tires?

Thanks!

I have a Herman Mobile 7' plow on my 4060.
Works great and tractor with R4 tires have plenty of traction.

I would think our tractors are close in HP and 7 ft blade would work fine.

I do have a Hermans optional pipe with mounting bracket on the bottom of blade. Keeps gravel and lawn in place!

Good luck!

PS----just sold a RB1672.....was not wide enough with the 4060.
Buying a RB3784, a 7' rear blade with offset capability...

Thanks for the info! I guess you must get a lot of snow in your area.
