Year or two ago, I bought a 5' wide Kubota mower deck that fits on the front mount mower units. It was in like new shape but I had no use for it...then.

I just bought a tractor that has front PTO at 1000 rpm in addition to rear 540 rpm PTO.

What rpm's do those mower decks like to run at? Can I use the 1000 rpm PTO to run it?

And, is the direction of rotation still CW when you look from the front?

thanks

Find the model number on it, and figure out which machine that was on...likely an F something....once you know that, we can figure out the PTO rpm on that model and get you your answer. If you run a mower drastically different on the RPM it could overheat and blow the gearbox (too fast) or not mow efficiently (too slow).
