I have a loader on a M9540 that is not working like it should.

When trying to lift the loader - it has slowed dramatically and will only lift out if you speed the pump / engine. Side to side works well.

The only recent changes to the tractor - we changed transmission oil and filters but did not use a Kubota fluid. We used a quality oil that said it was compatible but who knows? The transmission works well - are we having a foaming problem or should I be looking at hardware first?

No leaks anywhere and fluid level is fine.

any advice is appreciated

I dont know to much about it but it sounds like you might have air in the lines, and if I understand what was mentioned in here before the air should work its way out,, judt MHO you understand

I've heard of air in the lines... but after about 20 minutes worth of use, it should be out. I've changed the fluid completely out on my BX, and never had a problem with air in the lines. It sounds as if the replacement fluid might not be working out causing your cycle times to be off when using the front loader.

I guess it could be the fluids - but I was wondering if the problems would be across the loader cycle directions .... The bucket dump or breakout functions are fast and strong.

I hate to dump the trans fluid again but it might be worth trying.

thanks for the advice
