floppy shifter

The shift lever on my L305DT flops all over when I try to shift. I can shift to reverse and 1st and 2nd or 5th or 6th but it wont shift to the higher gears.
I took the shifter cover off and everything in the transmissiom looks ok.
What am I missing?? PLease Help!!!

in side the shifter cap,, there should be some plastic bushings.

Thanks when I removed the shifter cover I found that one pin set was missing and the other was worn out.
