Hoping someone could offer some help in relation to finding a replacement flasher unit for my L2000DT. I cannot get my flashers to function. Fuse is ok and both lamps are new, wiring seems fine. I have the L225 manual and the schematic seems to match up perfectly with my model. The schematic labels one terminal with L and the other B. L is wired to the fuse box and B is wired to the flasher switch. Can anyone tell me what L and B mean ? I have seen some flasher units marked L for one prong and X for the other. I cannot see anything on my flasher unit and it's probably the original. Also is there a mounting location for the flasher unit ? Mine is just dangling.

I know this is years old but I was researching flashers and found your question. With regard to flasher relays, I believe the letters correspond as:

B, X, + 49 = Battery (Power Input)
C2 = Hazard Switch Ground
E - 31 = Ground
H = Hazard Switch
I = Ignition
L, 49a = Load
P = Pilot Lamp
S = Sense

So to answer your question, L is load (light), B is Line in from Battery. Do you also have a third wire for ground?
