First Breakage! What'd I break? B2601 (peg on loader arms?)

Whelp, I hit a piece of limestone pretty hard and a few minutes later, I noticed a thingy swinging below the bucket arms. Didn't seem normal... I propped it back up, barely, and the bucket somehow still seems to work....which begs the question "what the heck is it for then?"

The peg is bent.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding because my loader is the old style, but if it’s just bent (not broken) why don’t you just bend it back?

kinda looks like the 'release' mechanism to drop the loader support 'legs' ?
if so, remove from tractor and rebend to correct positions.
did that on my BX23S about 400 hrs ago,last year while 'relocating' 100 yds of material.

Ohhhhhh good news. That makes sense. It seemed silly to have such a tiny peg for anything serious. Thanks!
