I have had nothing but trouble with this thing. Now it doesn't seem to want to drive anymore, when it does there's a loud clattering noise coming from the rear of the transmission. It will go forward but not without complaining and not up any kind of hill with the mower down or the pto on. Reverse it doesn't want to do at all and needs encouragement with some pushing. I have had the thing apart twice now looking for anything obvious, but I can't see anything wrong which lead me to believe that maybe there is something simply misadjusted as it has had some work done to it in the past, but who knows by who.
I've changed the filter, cleaned the screen, changed fluid, checked the pressure relief valves for forward and reverse and they are within factory spec's. Checked the neutral positioner adjustment arm, checked the drive rod for proper adjustment.
I have a factory service manual for this thing so I'm good that way and I'm not afraid to take it apart again if I have to, I'm just not sure what else to look for.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Any thoughts or idea's?
Does the hydraulic pump play a part in it's propulsion??

You have no charge pressure!! The hydraulic pump provides charge on the Fxx60 series tractors ( as it does on the BX series) if your hydraulic pump is weak or not working you will get that rattling and no drive. Make sure the suction screen in the transmission that feeds the hydraulic pump is clean.

Okay - I'll give it a try. Thank you very much.
