We have a L2400 - 40 HP Kabota - named KoKo. We are looking for advice on sickle bar mowers that will mow at more than the 35 up and 20 down of bars like the New Holland. John Deere makes one, the Frontier and Bevco (Befco sp ??) makes one too that the specs say cut up to 90 above horizontal and down 70 -75 degrees. Any experience with these in roadside maintenance situations? I've looked at the Alamo Swingtrim and Bomford equipment (with hydraulic booms and attachments at the end) probably beyond our price range of 2,000 - 4,000.
Thanks, vainva

A fellow posted recently asking about a sickle bar mower. They seem to be hard to come by used. Anybody who has one wont part ways with it and those mowers up for sale are great for boat anchors these days because they are so rusted out and need alot of attention.
