Engine would shake and almost stall if trying to move and not idle smoothly. Was not sure what issue was but drained fuel tank and filled again after going through a water filter.

Then ran at idle for hour and problem gone now (or is it). Did this to get whatever was out of line...

Think any damage came to engine or other thoughts?

I just assume bad gas or maybe water, but tractor filter should have stopped water?

If you did any damage to the engine you would certainly know it after running it for a half hour. I think that you should be okay. I would change the fuel filters though.

You really did not mean "bad gas" did you?:D:) try one of these, does a great job for keeping everything in the fuel system clean

On the BX25 (and 70 series) you do NOT need to bleed the screw......

You replace filter(s) and then hold the key to the right (right before glow) - with key on, the fuel pump will pump fuel through everything and return it to the tank - air is gone.:)
