I have a B1550 4wd that needs the bearing for the front 4wd output changed. I removed the driveshaft and the plate holding the bearing in, it is right there asking to be replaced. However it is flush with the transmission case.

Does anybody have a way to remove it? Figured it is worth an ask because it seems pretty straight forward, but I can't seem to see it.

Thanks

So, I ended up removing the shaft with the bearing still on it, then pressed the bearing off. I had looked through the service manual, and the parts diagram and concluded that if I removed the shaft nothing would drop inside. I will have the new bearing on tomorrow and try to reassemble it. Hopefully nothing moved out of place. The service manual is very vague on just removing the front bearing.
