Considering getting a grapple, and know I will need to install a third function kit and SSQA adapter to my LA463 loader on a 2007 L2800. Currently has pin on factory 5’ bucket.

Question is this: if I install a SSQA adapter, I am assuming that is not compatible with a pin on bucket? So unless I buy a new bucket that is SSQA compatible I will have to unpin the adapter and reinstall the old bucket with the pins?

Removing pins is not a big deal to me—when I bought this tractor 5 years and 200 hours ago I replaced the old pins. Old ones hadn’t seen grease in a long time so just replaced them and have kept them greased every 10-15 hours as recommended. Old ones were a bitch to get out but after cleaning the sleeves thoroughly the new ones slid in without any resistance.

I’d rather not buy a new bucket as well (if possible). I would probably use the grapple more than the bucket but would certainly like the ability to change out quickly.

Thoughts?

You can attach a SSQA plate to your bucket. You would probably cut off current connections and weld the plate to the bucket.

I would just buy an SSQA plate and weld it to the back of the pin-on bucket...

Of course this would take a little fab work but nothing too fancy. (cutting off the pin mounts)
I'm sure any welding shop can hook you up If it's something your not comfortable doing yourself.
