Do I really need ?

I bought a China Freight one a couple yrs ago after a customer stopped and I had a 15000w China one running while the power was out. It has no idle, its on and flat out blarring loud. It runs everything i own. But I have a monitor gas heater in my shop that has a computer in it. As soon as the 15k is running, it won't run. But with the 9500 inverter it does. I bought it on sale, plus opened a new credit card with them took -$200. More off the price. It came in at $1400. In July of '23. And when you turn the button to off. It shuts off a petcock under the gas tank so the carb runs dry...those Chinese using their heads again.

Have you tried running one of the low-end inverter welders, ArcCaptain or Yeswelder, off that generator? That probably would have been a better combination for me than a gas welder and a Yeswelder.

I weld about every day with miller syncrowave welders. But I dont think thoses are concidered inverter welders. Eventually I'll lose power when I'm welding and try the Predator inverter generator that way. Tig welding draws very few amps so I'm sure it will run my home and shop no problem.
Im not sure what it is about a 220v air compressor kicking on. But that's about the biggest draw I have.

I have the HF 8750 Watt Inverter Generator and I bought it in October 2022. I just replaced the carburetor a couple of months ago because it was running really rough, needing some choke at high RPM's. HF does not offer a replacement carb, only some very expensive gaskets and not even a repair kit. Fortunately, I found a direct replacement at Amazon (after finally ordering the right one ) for less than the HF gasket set. The original carb looked perfect on the outside but it had bad corrosion on the inside. The solenoid needle at the bottom of the fuel bowl was badly corroded and the needle was bound up. The jet above is all covered in corrosion too. Shutting off the fuel and running the engine until it runs out of fuel does not seem to empty the fuel bowl and therefore the corrosion. I drained the new carb using the bowl drain which is a pain to do because there is no way to use a container that fits in the cramped space and most of the fuel gets spilled.
Replacing the carb was straightforward but required removing the fuel tank. The inverter/all the electronics are epoxy sealed under the fuel tank as an assembly and the electronic throttle control connector is there.
On the other hand, my 4000 Watt Generac from 1992 that I had replaced fuel lines, filters, plug, fuel line etc. last year refused to start. Finally, I figured out that the 1 year old "white B&S" filter would not let a single drop of fuel through. When I reinstalled the original 1992 "red" fuel filter it started right up . This B&S carb has never ever been drained. It has just has been run until out of fuel.

Alot of the new generators take 2 or 3 fuel types. Gas, Propane, Nat gas

Having one connected to my propane or even a separate propane tank sounds good. Dont have to worry about fuel going off

Did I really need an inverter ehhh maybe not but 15% off and another 10% off for the credit card, even with the extended 2-year warranty still less that a other ones. Now all I have to do is get it out of the truck,, da bytch is heavy guess Ill slide it inthe bucket and hope it dont fall out.

Good choice!
You wont have to be concerned about plugging in something that may be sensitive to power quality.

Make sure to run it every two months to maintain the warranty. Also, drain the carb every time for storage and use Sta-bil to prevent corrosion in the carb. Seafoam did not do anything to protect my carb from corrosion.

And that brings up another question, I have run reg 87 along with sti ble in all my small motors. I was told that for this I should run 89, or E0 gas, which I can find any place anyway. Lots of stations say they have it but nobody has it, if you know what Im saying.

Skeets - if you can get E0, do so.

Mid-grade 89 or Premium 91/92 will still have ethanol which is the problem.

Have to look for ethanol free.

We went a few years where it was hard to get. One place sold it and made the 40 minute trip to keep stocked up.

Thankfully E0 is readily available at a couple local places now.

Run the carb dry and don't let it sit unused for a long time and you won't have any issues while running regular gas. Disconnect the battery between uses too.
