Well, got a brand new BX25D last week in a trade for my John Deere 110TLB. Long story on that one. I went through and tried to grease all the joints and one on the dippper would not take grease. I extended the boom, put pressure on it by placing it on the ground and raising the rear of the tractor, even pushed against a tree with it..no go. So I tried to remove the pin a little to get a little grease on it...couldnt get it to budge. Now it did have grease on one side of the pin but none on the other side from the factory. So, I just started to extend and retract the boom a few times to see if I could get it loose, but after 4 or 5 times, it sheared the bolt they put in it to retain the pin. I then tried to remove it again and it still will not budge. It will turn in the saddle with out the bolt to hold it though. Other than that, this thing is a blast to pla.....err....work with.

So any ideas on what to do. I did get grease in it finally (enough to show up on the other side of the pin) after having the wife work the levers to move the boom in and out while I tried to grease it, but wondering if I should still pull the pin out or just use it as is a little, then try and regrease it again. Hate to have to take it in for this miner problem. But dern near killed my grease gun with trying to squeeze it to hard.

One other question about the trans filter. When you change the filter, does it pour all the oil out till you get a new filter on it or does it just lose the oil in the filter like a car does. The reason I ask, is the JD 110TLB had to have the trans drained before the filter was remover or you wore all the fluid that poured out trying to get the filter on. Dont ask How I found this little tid bit out.....LOL.:eek:

Thanks for the help......

Even though you have it taking grease now I would make sure the dealer knows about it and has it in their records so if something breaks or wears your rear is covered.
