I wonder if anyone can let me know the dimension (width and thickness) of the steel members that go from the rear axle to the front engine mounts on the B6000/B7000 etc. tractors?

I am starting to build a sub frame and want to make sure that I use chunky enough steel.

Many thanks!

Gee, the responses were almost overwhelming... ;)

Anyway I have crawled around on the floor under the tractor for 2 days now and measured up all the stuff -reckon all parts will be made in 8mm steel plate.
Attached (if it works) is a snippet of an ACAD drawing of the frame.
Hopefully I will get the parts from the waterjet cutter early next week so we will see if it all fits.

If it fits as intended I will make the ACAD drawings available here in the forum.

Those parts on a B219 loader on a B7100 tractor are 1/2" thick. The ears that go up to the side of the engine mounts are 5/16" thick. There is also a x brace connecting the sides together in between then 5/16 thick"

Thanks a bunch for that!!

I handed the drawings to the waterjet company today but decided to do the long frame rails on my own due to cost -I was going to go for all 8mm (5/16") steel.

Works out perfect now though as I ran out of time today to buy the metal for the frame rails, will do that Monday and will get 1/2", Tuesday morning I will get all the other bits from the waterjet company and they will be 5/16" as ordered.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, really appreciate it!
