FWIW, a report for anyone interested. The combination did pretty well in East TN clay soil. I did several fields and food plots with acceptable results. It tends to want to "drive" the L2501 HST with loaded R4 tires, but not too bad. You know it's back there when in full angle, but I could maintain speed in M on virgin soil. No regrets with disc or tractor.

Good to know. I have been discing with my old 68hp tractor with a similar size disc to yours. I wondered how well the L2501 would pull it if I ever needed to.
