My wife's grandfather raised peacocks, always penned, solid roof, would let one male out at a time once in a great while. Keep the count down to 4 - 8 females at most. If I remember correctly the feed and meds required were pricey. Would sell the eggs for $50 / each to other farmers that wanted to start their own. Feathers got sold to crafters, especially the neck feathers, very iridescent greens and blues.
