Hello Everyone, I am new to repairing my B8200 HST tractor. It was running producing white smoke. It stopped running. I have removed the valve cover and saw that the push rods are bend. The valves are functioning. What would case the rods to bend? I have only used tractor over the last two years. Purchased used and was running fine. Looking for help for possible root cause and items I need to look into. John

Pull the head and inspect the cylinders and pistons and valves, about the only thing logicly that can bend push rods is the piston slapping the valves, which in a D950 is extremely rare!

I guess I'd also ask-
All of the pushrods?
Intake only?
Exhaust only?
Confined to one cylinder?

I have seen bent pushrods on three occasions-
Severe lugging of an old Ford Comet 6 cylinder up a mountain grade (all pushrods)
An old Kohler that swallowed a 3/8" hex nut (intake only)
A Harley that swallowed a handful of dimes (all pushrods one cylinder)

With older diesels it common to find rags from them trying to snuff out a run away. :D
