So i picked up this exmark mower with a d902 kubota engine that had been rebuilt but the owner never got it running. The old motor had a hole through the block so they found another block and the amish guy around them rebuilt it. He apparently works on all the kubota ran sawmills so hopefully he put it back together right. One big red flag that i need to figure out before i go ahead is the block is a wg972 block. It has all the same dimensions but is it useable? Things i have done so far are as follows.
Make sure the glow plugs work
Make sure the fuel stop solenoid works
Make sure the fueal stop isnt stuck
Added shims and took shims out of the pump.
Cracked all the injector lines to make sure they all get fuel.
Im now currently draining the tanks to add fresh diesel.
I have a compression tester coming saturday but i need some help to get this thing running. Thanks!
