I tried to do a search but couldn't find the info.
Does anyone know when the L4701 and the other current L models
first release? I think 2014 no?

Also does anyone know if there were any updates from the first year
production to the 2017 l4701 models?

According to TractorData.com, yes the newest version of tractors ending in "1" came out in 2014 to meet the Tier 4 EPA requirements.

The L01 series came out in late 2013. So I reckon you could call 'em 2014's but Kubota doesn't officially give them year models. I remember this well. In Nov 2013 I was working at a Kubota dealer. We had about 150 of them stacked up in a small yard behind the building and it never failed, when we got order to assemble a tractor, it was always the one on the back of the stack and on the bottom. It took us forever to get them all assembled and sold but keep in mind that each one of them was set up differently...some had loaders, others bush hogs, some were 2wd (which was a waste of money IMO), canopies, etc. I remember there being a bulletin out to add a wire tie to the battery cable. They were stacked 3 high and in rows of 12 each. Doing the bulletin entailed climbing around the crates in the middle of winter putting a wire tie on. Oh what fun. I certainly don't miss doing that stuff.
