My MX 5100 came to me new, but missing the copper washer on one of the crankcase oil drain plugs. Had it all changed and refilled before I realized what had happened. Does anyone happen to know what size that washer is? If I can find out what size it is and get one (or two) before my next oil change, it will save me trip into the city mid oil change.

Thanks for any help.:D

I would get one from the dealer so you know for sure you get the right one. It's probably going to leak or could even back out during use. May be smart to get one and go ahead and put it on now. Have someone there to put their finger over the hole so the oil won't drain out while you put the washer on then re-install the plug.

That's probably the best way, bulldog. Was trying to avoid the trip, but next time I get up that way I'll swing by and get a few.:)

I know that wasn't much help but I tried to replace the washer on my 7.3 powerstroke with one from the auto parts store. First 2 were a miss, one to big and the other to small. Ended up at the Ford place to get the right one which would have saved me time and money if I'd gone there in the beginning.

If it came new like that the dealer ought to drive one out to you and install it as well.
