My KX040 with V1902 engine has developed a fuel leak from the thread of #4 delivery valve holder.
The Kubota part I need is the copper gasket 15221-51240 which has apparently been replaced by 70000-65197.
I can see them for sale in the States but they will not send to Australia.
Does anyone know where I can get these in Australia or which dealer would send to Australia.

Using your part numbers on a common Kubota web site called Messicks does not work.

I can only see the part on eBay.com.

If it is just a plain copper washer I see two options, anneal the one you have. Go to a hydraulics shop or fuel injection repair shop as they usually have an assortment of copper washer.

To anneal, Hanh the washer from a nail or screw driver and then heat it with a propane torch until it turns red. Allow to cool slowly and then re use.

Copper hardens when used when it is compressed. Annealing softens it.

The implication is that your Kubota dealer can't supply them to you - is that correct?
The 15221-51240 is the same as a local dealer priced for me last year and it didn't seem to be a problem. If you run out of options I could find out if they will still supply.

In the thread about delivery valve holder leaks I've found that those washers get eroded over time, so this might determine how effective annealing of yours will be.

I can order this and mail it to you if you’re not able to get it. I imagine any Kubota dealer can get it for you.

They are in stock at Coleman Equipment in the Bonner Springs store. Email them and ask about shipping to Australia. They ship hundreds of packages a week in the USA.

I could find part number 70000-65197 at Messicks and started the buy process but when it got to the delivery address it told me they couldn't send outside US for contractual arrangements. I want to change the gaskets for each port on the pump and will keep trying to get them. Never tried annealing but might be worth a go if it is still in good condition.

I'll try a bigger Kubota dealer. There's one in Brisbane. Which dealer did you use?

Thanks for the offer. I have been told that Kubota dealers in Australia should have these. Any problems I'll get back to you.

Agrilife in Hamilton, NZ. Norwoods in NZ would also have them. Truly, even small Kubota dealers in Oz should be able to get them for you. The part is common across many different Kubota engines, over quite a few years.

Problem solved. Thanks to everyone for your help. My local dealer can get the parts sent from Melbourne.
