I’m going to be doing a full service to the cooling system on a new to me B7100HST-D, and the WSM obviously doesn’t cover using the modern extended life coolants available today.

I happen to have a case of coolant the was meant for a Ford six oh no, that my brother owned, and off loaded due to head gasket issues before he used it.

Can I put the stuff in my B7100? The old coolant will be flushed out during the service, and I’m going to have the radiator cleaned professionally, so I shouldn’t have any mixing issues, but I’m not sure if it’s appropriate for this engine.

You would have to be a little more specific on the coolant to know if it would work or not.
But it looks like most ford coolants are just normal coolant.
So if that's the case it wouldn't be an issue.

It’s zerex G-05 gold. It’s a extended life, low silicate stuff.
It’s supposed to help with build up of silicates in the EGR coolers on emissions controlled vehicles on the six oh no, but is spec’d for other makes, like Cat as well.
